Zoom has been used lately for online meetings, classes, and remote jobs. Although Zoom has almost all the information a user may need, there are times when you would like to use Zoom but can’t get access to the app on your Android phone.
This could be because your device lacks enough storage space or you use web apps.
How to Use Zoom Without the App on an Android Phone
The good news is that Zoom does not require the actual application; users may attend meetings straight from an Android phone’s web browser. In this guide, we will examine three methods for doing this.
Method 1: Sign up using the meeting link
You can join the session using the Zoom-generated meeting link, which may be accessed from the invitee’s calendar or supplied by the meeting host.
- Situated on your PC, open the message or email, including the Zoom meeting invitation.
- Select the meeting URL that can be found in the email invitation.
- Please use the default web browser that you prefer to use when you browse the internet. Select the icon with three dots.
- Go to the Desktop site.
- If you have it installed, your browser will invite you to join or ask you to use the Zoom application. Select the “Join from Your Browser” link.
- When you use the app to attend a meeting, you might be asked to allow the app to access your camera and microphone. Give the required authorizations.
- Kindly enter the name you want to be seen during the meeting.
- To proceed with joining the Zoom meeting, click the Join button.
Method 2: Log in using the Zoom web client
- Turn on your Android phone first, then open any web browser.
- The Zoom website provides access to the Zoom web client.
- Selecting the Desktop site option, represented by the third dot-shaped icon, requires clicking.
- Enter the meeting ID or the name of the private link provided by the host in the field as it appears below.
- Press Join.
- Sometimes, you are requested to turn on Zoom’s camera and microphone. Provide the required authorizations.
- Please type your name in the following field if you want it to appear during the meeting.
- To join the Zoom meeting, click Join.
Method 3: (For G Suite users only) Sign up via Google Meet Integration
Zoom can also be used with Google Meet to allow G Suite attendees to join a meeting directly from the Google Calendar.
- You will access the Google Meet online application interface.
- When requested, grant access to the microphone and camera.
- If you would like your complete name to be used during the meeting, please put it here.
- To join the Zoom meeting, sign up now.
- When using Google Meet, the majority of users will click and tap Join using Google Meet.
- Remember that, unlike with the official Zoom app, you can attend and participate in Zoom meetings through web browsers. However, there may be some difficulties or limitations. Specific tools, such as screen sharing and virtual backdrops, can be reworked to be less effective.

Please remember that joining through a web browser may need greater capacity than joining through an app because the browser controls video and audio streams. For some reason,
having a regular Internet connection is recommended when using Zoom on an Android phone on the web without the app. Please feel free to ask questions or offer suggestions in the space provided for comments below.
